IT'S COMING...!

As some of you may have noticed we've updated the site and put up a new link for the DVD pre-sale (I say "we" but I really mean Vince.)

If you've followed this movie at all recently you may have seen a similar update on the MySpace pages. Well, disregard those previous updates. After careful thought and consideration we've decided to go all out for this DVD release.

Our initial thought was to get the disc out there with the theatrical cut and a few extra scenes - the typical DVD release material. But then we started thinking, and we realized that there are so many of you out there who have shown your unwavering support through this entire process that we couldn't just do a typical DVD. You deserve more from us than that.

So, to that end, we're pulling out all the stops!

Instead of a single DVD with a few cool extras we've decided to release an extremely limited 2-Disc Set with not one, but two versions of the movie!

We're calling this new version, exclusive to this DVD release, the "Heroin Cut."

Why a new cut of the movie? Well, let me explain.

Back when this whole "broken" thing started (I'm talking script, not the movie) I had an idea concerning a young man, Christian, who was disillusioned with life. And since real life wasn't living up to his expectations, he pretty much created a life of his own with his writing. He became this introverted young man who had a tenuous grip on reality. Basically, he was nuts. Then along came this girl who changed everything. What followed was your typical love story. And blah, blah, blah, yadda, yadda, yadda.

It was pretty good for what it was, but by no means was it a movie.

It was Derek who saw the potential for this little demented love story of mine to become a movie. So we set about trying to make it happen.

The only bad thing was, I had never written a movie before. But, hey, it couldn't be that hard right? Wrong! Instead of going into how difficult it is to write a script, and a good script on top of that, I'll just direct your attention to your local cineplex. There are any number of pieces of crap out there. See, even the pros have a hard time of it every now and then.

Anyway... We grew up in the MTV era when MTV actually played music videos. So we grew up watching, and being influenced by, three to five minute chunks of sensory overload. What that meant was, when it came time to write a movie script, I wrote what I knew - three to five minute chunks of sensory overload. While those chunks may have been cool, they didn't really tell a story (at least not a coherent one.)

Writing is a living, breathing thing. As the writer grows, so does their written work. The story ideas that we came up with, and the way that I wrote them, changed over the years. And "broken" is better because of it.

When we finally reached the point of making this movie ourselves, "broken" had gone from a demented love story told in three to five minute chunks, to a demented love story that worked as a whole. Sure, the three to five minute chunks were still there, but they were better integrated into the whole and they made more sense.

But... (there's always a but) in the process, "broken" lost a little bit of what we originally planned it to be.

It wasn't because we lost it over the years, it's just that, in the process of putting this movie together in post-production some difficult decisions had to be made.

There were things that we wanted to do, technically and artistically, that just wouldn't work in the overall structure and pacing of the theatrical release.

In the theatrical release, story was number one on the list. We had to tell a coherent story in such a way as to draw the audience along. All while giving you every piece of information you needed to know so the movie would make sense. And we accomplished that with the deliberate pacing of the movie. It's a brooding, dark drama. We've tried to build the tension from the first frame and, from there, carry you along in an ever increasing pace to the movies conclusion. And based on the awards we've won, and the positive reviews and feedback we've received, the movie works.

But what about the fast paced, three to five minute chunky, sensory overloaded movie it was originally intended to be? Well, telling the story took precedence in our first cut of the movie, but it's with this new "heroin cut" that we hope to bring back some of the demented stuff we lost along the way.

It's not that the demented stuff is not in the theatrical release, because it is. But by revisiting the footage and using a different cutting style, new effects, and newly written voice over sequences, we feel we can bring you a new way of looking at "broken." There may be scenes included that weren't in the original release and some scenes may be trimmed back or excised all together. What we're trying to do with this new cut is bring you the story in a more singular way. From Christian's point of view. What it's like to hear these voices that haunt him , to live in constant fear of change, to be crippled by this addiction he has.

This new cut is meant as a supplement to the theatrical release and we would hope everyone who watches it will take the time to watch the theatrical version first. It's in that version where you're going to get the whole picture of this story we're trying to tell. Then, after the theatrical release, watch the "heroin cut" to see things from a different perspective.

As you can tell, we're really excited to bring you this limited edition 2-Disc set. We're putting everything we have into making this a great DVD release, something worth the time and effort everyone involved has brought to the project, as well as those of you out there who have shown your continuing support.

Since it is such a large undertaking, we haven't finalized a release date. If everything goes according to plan though, we should be able to start shipping the discs in late summer.

We've added an information box, and sign up sheet on the pre-sale page. Please take a few seconds to add your information to the list. Since this is an extremely limited release we will be offering those that signed up first chance at buying the DVD set. If those who sign up account for our entire production run, the discs will not be made available to the general public. So, if you want a copy, let us know.

Well, I think that's it for now. Thanks for reading and thanks for keeping the faith.

Until next time,

-David

SO, WHAT ... IS YOUR KEYBOARD BROKEN?

It seems like that, doesn't it? It's been forever and a day since we've had the chance to update the site. Sorry.

If you've taken an interest in us and our movie you've probably been kept current with the multiple MySpace pages associated with the flick. If you have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, check out the links tab on the home page, and click around a bit. There's some cool stuff out there that folks have been saying about us (which we greatly appreciate) and it will give you the chance to support all of those that support us as well.

Part of the reason the updates have been infrequent is that little thing we all call life. It always seems to get in the way, doesn't it. At the end of last year we were finally able to get all of our legal ends tied up. It was all concerning the music that we've been fortunate enough to use, but for some reason it was the hardest thing to nail down while trying to be fair to the artists involved. But we got it, which meant we were finally able to get the movie ready to send out to potential distributors.

Then a little thing called Christmas came along, and with it the holiday season. We got our screener copies into our distribution rep.'s hand the week before Christmas but, since it was the holiday season, he wasn't able to do a whole with them right away. It wasn't until the middle of January that our screener copies were on the way to potential buyers. I know what you're thinking, it seems like a heck of a lot longer than two months, but that's all it's been - two months.

While we may not know exactly how the business works, we do realize that two months is a very short amount of time for anyone to make a decision regarding "broken." But have faith, we'll get this movie out there for everyone to see, don't worry about that.

So what's next for us...? We're still kicking around ideas. During one of our television interviews last year we had mentioned an upcoming horror project, and it still might happen, it just looks to be heading in a different direction, so we'll see.

I've been lucky enough to be blessed with a knack for making up stories and a short piece of detective fiction I recently wrote has (I've been told from multiple English professors) the potential to find publication. So, over the summer, I'll be working with an editor to get it ready for publication. And, since I've been working in "movie mode" for the past fifteen years or so, I've been working on adapting the story for the screen.

And speaking of screen - I've thrown my writing hat into the ring, yet again, but this time for the small screen. A local Emmy Award winner is currently in production on a television series and I've pitched a story arc to him that he seems interested in (he just needs to get me a bit more information regarding his characters since I've taken them in a direction he hadn't planned.) So we'll see how that goes. It's been pretty cool trying to structure my writing for the small screen as opposed to the big one and it's got me thinking about other projects that may work in that medium as well.

Derek has taken his love of techno crud (my name for it, not his) and has been putting some music tracks together - and surprisingly, they're pretty good. I say surprisingly because I never knew he had an interest in doing anything musical. But the guy's got a talent for it that I never knew he had (and I've known him for over thirty years.) So last week, he sent over a track that he had recently mixed, and wanted to get my two cents on it. I listened to it, I liked it, and I told him so. Then, a few hours later, I sent the track back to him, re-mixed, with some samples from a piece I wrote as well as a vocal track that I came up with. His reaction? An expletive used in a positive way. So it looks like that we may be working on some music stuff together as well. As soon as we get a place to post the music we'll let you know in case you want to check it out.

Hopefully this brings everyone up to date on what's been going on. At times it's seemed like "a whole lot of nothing" while at others I can't believe we've managed to get as much stuff done as we have (hundreds of pages written, helping out other filmmakers shoot some stuff, editing short projects, mixing and re-mixing music tracks, etc...)

Just know, that even though the updates have been sporadic, we're still doing everything we can to get "broken" out there.

Thanks for all of the support you've shown us over the years and thanks for being patient. I'll let you guys know as soon as I hear something.

Monday November 19, 2007

Um....yeah, I realized I never update this either. So hey, here is my super exciting update.
As David mentioned, things have been pretty busy. He's probably been slightly busier than me.
I have been doing some writing and serious note taking. Oh yeah, and working.Yay.

To make this easier, I'll just copy some of the latest MySpace blog:

Ok, first off, we are working with an agent in seeking distribution. We decided to go this route rather than having more screenings and/or entering film festivals. Broken has been a part of our life for so long, it's time to wrap up this journey and begin a new one. Things seem promising and as soon as we reach a deal we will make sure to let everyone know. One interesting note, if you check out our IMDB listing (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1079348), it says that we are being distributed by the Weinstein Company. Now, that would be really fucking awesome, however, that is news to us. We are currently looking into why that was placed on our listing. If there was a deal made we were not made aware of it, ha. I assume with all the movies coming out or have come out in the last year with the title "Broken", it is probably just a mistake. I'll update when we get it resolved.

During this period of waiting to see what will happen with Broken, we have narrowed down our next project(at least as of the typing of this blog entry). It will be bigger and better than Broken, I can assure you of that. We will be spending the next couple of months tweaking the script to get it where it needs to be. Knowing David and I, we will probably think of an even "cooler" story idea and write something else. I hate when that happens.

So..if anyone has anything cool to tell us feel free to e-mail us. It would be a welcome change from all the Vi@gr@ 5p@m we get. Heh.

Until next update.......

:D:

Long Time No Read

It's been a crazy few months (as you can tell from the lack of updates.) It's entirely my fault - sorry. So if there are any volunteers out there to cover my 15 semester hours this time around, get me moved from one house to another, and take care of updating the site the drop me a line. Until then, you guys are going to have to put up with the infrequent updates.

Well, the numbers keep coming in and they are HUGE! In a two week span on the IMDB we had about a half a million hits - IN TWO WEEKS! Our site hits (this one that is) have been well over 100,000 each and every month - we're almost to a million hits for the year and that's pretty cool for this little ol' movie of ours.

We're working with representation right now, looking to get this movie a distribution deal. Everyone involved seems to think good things are coming for us. Wouldn't that be a great Christmas present?

Anyway...

All of you out there have a great holiday and hopefully I'll be back soon with news on distribution!

OF FATE AND FILM FESTIVALS - EPISODE III ATTACK OF THE REVENGEFUL SOMETHING OR ANOTHER

Wow, what a weekend. Everything that has happened over the past three days has been amazing.

FOUR nominations, THREE wins, TWO festivals in TWO different states! Holy moly.

So here's the breakdown:

At the Indie Gathering in Cleveland we picked up the award for "Best Crime Drama." A great big 'thank you' to Ray Szuch (festival director and all around cool guy) for giving us the opportunity and to all of the judges who voted for us. It is truly an honor. But the nomination and the win wasn't all that happened this weekend in Cleveland.

To say that it was a networking marathon is a bit of an understatement. Even though the crowd at this year's festival was slightly lower than the previous year's (there were about 1,000 attendees this year) it was still a business card swapping, hand shaking, movie-pimping party. I met a bunch of great people. From filmmakers to film fans, screenwriters to special effects gurus, and even a troop of stunt people from Florida. It was great.

There were lecture sessions that you could attend (which I did, and I learned a lot.) Over sixty films that you could check out in three different screening rooms (which I did as well and saw some pretty cool flicks.) And I was invited to sit in as a panel member on three different panel discussions; one about directing, another about screenwriting and the third on "low to no budget" filmmaking. It was really cool to sit there with two to three other filmmakers and have an audience spread out in front of you asking questions about the whole filmmaking process. I got to share my experiences in shooting 'broken' as well as all of the trials and tribulations I have been through having spent the last fifteen years as a screenwriter. It was a pretty amazing experience. I hope the information I put out there was able to shed a bit of light on the entire process of bringing a project from script to screen. I know I picked up some helpful advice from my fellow panel members.

So Cleveland and the Indie Gathering was a complete success. We won a great award, we got fantastic feedback concerning the film, and I met a bunch of great people. Thanks to everyone who was there to support independent film - it was a weekend I'll never forget.

Now, we move north of the border to the Trinity Film Coalition Film Festival that took place in Detroit.

Derek tells me he has a production notes update ready to go to give you a first hand account of the festival. Since I was in Cleveland I can only give you an account of the phone calls and text messages that I received keeping me up to date with what was happening in Detroit.

On Friday night, Derek got to the festival late so he ended up missing the opening night screening - but still ended up rubbing elbows and schmoozing with fellow filmmakers at the opening night party that was held later that night.

Saturday morning brought me news that the company that was supplying and setting up the projectors and screens to show the movies ended up going to the wrong hotel (in Troy, not Detroit) so the screening schedule was going to be pushed back. Normally this wouldn't too big of a deal but when you have people setting aside time in the afternoon to come show their support for 'broken' I was a bit worried that they would have to leave if the movie started too late. Thankfully things were only pushed back about 15 minutes or so, so no worries.

So at 12:15 p.m. 'broken' hits the screen. Not having been there I can't give you an accurate representation of the crowds reaction, but what I can do is this...

AND THE WINNER OF THE AUDIENCE FAVORITE AWARD GOES TO (drum roll please), "BROKEN!"

I believe that's testament enough to the audience reaction to the film. Thank you to everyone who showed up to watch it and to those who voted for us. We're humbled.

I ended up getting that bit of info via text message as I was sitting in room packed with a couple of hundred people waiting to stand up to receive our award for best crime drama. So it was with a huge smile on my face that I was able to stand up and thank the Cleveland folks for the award they had just given us and to then pass on the info of the exciting news out of Detroit: "AUDIENCE FAVORITE", "BEST DRAMA" and nominated for "BEST FEATURE FILM."

All in all a pretty good weekend for everyone involved with this thing we call 'broken.'

Congratulations to all of the cast and crew for the hard work that everyone put into this project. These awards are a recognition of your talents. Thank you.

So until next time...

2 FESTIVALS, 2 STATES, 4 NOMINATIONS, 3 AWARDS, 1 WEEKEND.....

Wow. What a weekend. As most of you know, Broken had the honor of being chosen to screen at 2 festvials this past weekend. The Indie Gathering in Cleveland,Ohio and the Trinity Film Coalition Festival in Detroit. It was a busy 3 days for us. David attended the Cleveland fest and I handled Detroit. It was a pretty amazing time.

Friday night I attended a festival reception party for the film makers. I met a few of the other directors in competition and everyone was really cool to share some of the shooting horror stories. Afterwards, I grabbed some late night grub at the legendary Lafayette Coney Island in downtown Detroit. Yum.

Saturday I was at the fest bright and early. My intentions were to catch a couple of the other films in competition but I ended up getting bombarded with calls and texts messages from people asking how to get to the festival, where to park, etc...so, unfortunately, I was only able to catch bits and pieces of various features and short films.

Broken screened at about 12:15pm. We had a pretty decent crowd. This was about the 100th time I have had to sit through the film. But I stuck it out to monitor crowd reaction. As with any festival, you get the casual viewer who comes and goes and just tries to catch pieces of all the films playing. But we had a core audience that stayed from begiining to end. When the film ended it was met with applause, which I can say I never get tired of witnessing. It was awesome.
The audience was given ballots after the film to rate the film from 1-10. I had my fingers unrealistically crossed for all 10's. Heh.
Myself, along with some of the other cast(Steve, Adam, Jayk) & crew members(Karl) were shuffled out into the lobby area for lots and lots of photos. I think we stood there for a good 15 minutes going blind from camera flashes and sore from smiling.
We then went into a directors reception room where we did an interview for GNTV, hosted by Eric Bare. It was a lot of fun. Especially having the cast members along with Karl, it made for a fun interview.
When everyone had started to clear out I decided to check out the last film screening for the day, The Death of Michael Smith. Man, what an amazing film. What they did with a $500-$600 budget was truly impressive. If you get a chance to catch this film in your town, do it.

Sunday arrives and it's bright an early once again to head to the Greektown Casino for the awards ceremony. The ceremony started with a live performance by the group Charm. Shortly after, the awards ceremony began. The first awards given were Best Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Drama. I wasn't sure what was going to happen. And then I heard "the award for best drama goes to Derek Justice & David DeLeon for Broken". Myself along with Steve Hopton, one of the actors, made our way to the stage to accept the award and to say our thank you's. I think I'm getting used to the speeches and the photogrpahs at this point. The next awards were for Best Short Film, Best Feature Film, and the Audience Choice Award.
The short film winner was Detroit Unleaded by Rola Nashef. From what I had seen from the clips and trailer, it's a pretty funny film. I wish I could have caught it at the fest, but I will definitely check it out at the next screening.
The Best Feature award was next and went to The Death of Michael Smith. I can't say I was surprised. It was a win well deserved. I had a chance to talk with some of the cast and crew, very cool and talented people. We are honored to have been nominated in this category with such great films.
The final award of the eveing was the Audience Choice Award. I didn't know what to expect with such stiff competition. But again "the award for Audience Choice goes to Derek Justice & David DeLeon for Broken". Holy crap. That's two awards. So Steve and I went up to the stage and did our thing again. What an amazing weekend.

I want to thank the Trinity Film Coalition as well as the Indie Gathering for having us. It was an unforgettable weekend.I also want to thank everyone who came out to the festival and for supporting Broken and indie film making in general. I am sure David will be updating as well on the haps' around Cleveland.

Everyone keeps asking what the next step is for Broken. More festivals and seeking distribution are at the top of the list. Doors are opening and things are happening. Stay tuned...

Derek

FESTIVAL FRIDAY...

...and Saturday and Sunday. But today's the day when the fun starts.

I'm about to hit the highway on the way to Cleveland for the Indie Gathering - woo hoo! It all kicks off tonight at 6 and runs until the bar closes. Tomorrow will be packed with people filling up the screening rooms (especially at 5:30 to see 'broken') and checking out the panel discussions. And things wrap up on Sunday with more discussions and the awards ceremony. It's going to be a good time and I can't wait to get the weekend going.

Meanwhile, in Detroit, Derek will be spending his time hanging out with the fine folks at Trinity at the red carpet event that is the Trinity Film Festival. Again, an opening night screening and then an after party until the bar closes followed a film filled Saturday with screenings running all day ('broken' at noon and they are all free! So go check 'em out and vote for us for the audience award) and an awards day Sunday.

So an exciting weekend is in store for the 'broken' crew. If you're in the area of either festival, come and check 'em out. Show your support for not only our film but independent cinema in general.

Thanks everyone and I'll be back with a post-fest update next week.

OF FATE AND FILM FESTIVALS - PART TWO

Drum roll please ... And the official screen time for the Trinity Film Festival is... 12 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 4th. The movie will be preceded by the short film "Mush" by Asma May Souathai. So anyone and everyone in the metro Detroit area - go see the movie! It's FREE. Check my previous post for the where and when of the festival or check out their website at:

www.trinityfilmcoalition.com

As I've said before, I'm not 100% sure how they will be judging these movies for the award of "Best Feature Film" but if the audience has a voice in the matter make sure you're there to give your support. It would be fantastic if this thing we call "broken" could pull off a double slam dunk by winning at Trinity on top of our win at The Indie Gathering.

So here's hoping. But no matter what happens in Detroit, it's an honor having been selected as a finalist to be in contention with films from around the world.

That's it for today.

I'll be back soon with a rant on our love/hate relationship with the IMDB.

Until then,

BLOG THIS!

So, it's been a couple of weeks since an update. I apologize to everyone out there who keeps coming back to the site for the "what's up" only to find the same old thing. But until this thing sells and we can do this stuff full-time, the ugly head of reality rears itself daily, calling us away (want more from us? Then spread the word of all things 'broken' to anyone and everyone you know - and even those you don't!)

Anywho... August 4th at 5:30pm is when we screen at The Indie Gathering in Independence, OH. You can get all of the details at their website: www.theindiegathering.com
We'll be in screening room 'A' and I hear that it seats about 300. It would be great if we could fill it up, so if you're in the area come on out and show your support. Ray Szuch, the director of the festival, had some great things to say about the movie: "'broken' is an all around complete movie and an independent filmmakers business card." WOW! Thank you, Ray. I can't wait until the Gathering. I'm planning on being there all three days, checking out the other entrants, sitting in on some of the seminars, and hopefully meeting some cool people. So, again, come to the show and we'll hang out.

Derek, on the other hand, will be in Detroit rubbing elbows at the first annual Trinity Film Festival. I hear that they've received entries from five different countries, which is pretty cool for a rookie festival right out of the gate. They haven't announced an official schedule yet but I'm almost positive that we'll be screening on Saturday the 4th there as well. As soon as I get a time, I'll be sure to pass that information on. You can also visit their website: www.trinityfilmcoalition.com
I know that a lot of you out there are from the Detroit area, so no excuses from you, GO SEE THE MOVIE! I mean, come on, it's at the Renaissance Marriott Hotel - which is a cool place to have it - and it's FREE! We'd love to have the theater packed in Detroit as well when the 'Top 250 Productions presents' credit fades in.

What else is going on...? On Monday (Jul. 16) we were in the studios of GoodNews TV (a Comcast cable station in the Detroit area) being interviewed by Mr. Eric Bare for his new show on the movie scene in Detroit - the name escapes me right now (hey, it was our first TV interview, we were just trying to remember OUR names) but as soon as I find out when it's going to air I'll let you know. If you happen to be out of the viewing area we will have the interview on our site shortly thereafter.

Next Monday (Jul. 23) we will be interviewed by Julie Washington, the entertainment reporter for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, as part of her Indie Gathering coverage. We were hoping for coverage of our Cleveland premiere from her as well, but unfortunately she was on vacation at the time, so maybe we'll get lucky and get a bit more coverage from her because of that.

Then on Jul. 27 we will on the air with Les Sekely of WEOL radio AM930. Les spent 13 years in Hollywood as a writer/producer/director and now spends his mornings as a talk show host for the Cleveland area (for those of you not from the Cleveland area, AM talk radio is HUGE here - my radio dial rarely leaves the AM frequency, I'm a talk radio junkie.) The details haven't been worked out yet whether this is going to be a studio session or a phone interview, but either way you can listen to it live on Friday on the radio or streaming at www.weol.com. As always, as soon as we can we'll have it available here on our site as well.

So that's what's going on in our 'broken' little universe. Some really cool stuff is happening as we gear up for our big festival weekend in two states! As new information becomes available, I'll be sure to pass it on.

I'd like to open up things up to you guys out there if I can. If you have questions for us, want a specific piece of information, or just want to drop us a line pleas feel free to do so. You can get ahold of me at the following e-mail address: dave@broken-movie.com

The only thing I ask is make sure you reference the production notes in your subject line. I usually have a "title" in all caps to start things off so make sure you're subject line reads something like: "blog this" ya goof - or something along those lines. If not, I'll think you're spam and in the trash you'll go.

And that's the update for now. Thanks for reading and I'll talk to you soon.

Later,
-D

OF FATE AND FILM FESTIVALS - PART ONE

I guess it was about a month and a half ago, I was sitting in front of this monitor trying to get things ready for the Cleveland premiere. I had just subscribed to this online message board/community for the performing arts in north-eastern Ohio (NeoPal) and I was typing up an announcement calling for Peep Show entries. So I type away and I send it off. Great. Later that afternoon I check to see if I had any respondents, and I did (pretty sweet), but I also had a "call for judges" e-mail from an area film festival called "The Indie Gathering." Intrigued, I opened the e-mail to see what type of criteria needed to be met to be a festival judge (after all we plan on hitting the festival circuit this year, what better way to get an inside look a the workings of a festival than by actually becoming a judge for one? Plus it meant getting to watch movies for free, and I'm always up for that.)

So I check out their site (www.theindiegathering.com) and it looks pretty cool. I do a bit of clicking around to check out the previous years winners and what-not and I notice that they had screened a live action short that was an Academy Award nominee (hmmm... things are getting a bit more interesting.) So finally, I check their submission information ...
Now, all of this was happening on a Tuesday and after checking their submission deadline I see that they are accepting submissions until that Friday - sweet. I had gone from wanting to become a judge to wanting to enter our flick. So after discussing the fest with Derek we decided to go for it. Sixty bucks later the flick was in the mail, off to the Gathering.

Now we fast forward to July 4th. Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and God bless America. We do the requisite BBQ, eat too much, partake of a cool beverage or two, get ready to watch some fireworks. You know the drill. It being a holiday and all I spend most of the day offline. One morning check of the e-mail accounts and that was it... until 9:06 that evening. One last e-mail check:

TO: me FROM: The Indie Gathering
"broken" has taken the top spot in the CRIME/DRAMA category.

<sound of BRAKES SQUEALING> What!?

"broken" has taken the top spot in the CRIME/DRAMA category.

Holy moly. We won. Thank you Indie Gathering.

Was it fate? I don't know. Does it even matter? The one thing I do know is this: "broken" has taken the top spot in the CRIME/DRAMA category.

Sweet.
